In Unit One, participants will evaluate their driving strengths and proficiency, focusing on hazard prediction and essential driving skills. They will further develop their practice of commentary driving, which enhances situational awareness and decision-making on the road. Additionally, participants will master various driving routines crucial for safe driving practices. Understanding and applying these techniques will not only improve their own driving but also equip them with the skills to effectively teach potential driving instructors.

One year subscription to The Honest Truth — for delivering lessons to learner drivers and to use during PDI training.

On completion of your in-car and online assignments you will be sent a completion certificate for Unit One. (You have six months to complete.)

On completion of all thirteen units of the Diploma for Teaching the Introduction to Driving Education Award you will receive your full qualification certificate — SCQF Level 8 | 17 credit points. (You have two years to complete all thirteen units.)
