In unit thirteen, participants will learn and explore other crucial considerations for operating a successful driver training business as self-employed individuals. This will enable them to better support the PDIs training with them.
This includes advertising and marketing, industry associations and support, professional indemnity insurance, public liability insurance, vehicle insurance and tax and accounting. Candidates will be well-equipped to navigate the legal and financial landscape of being self-employed.

03Understand the legal obligations of being self-employed and those specific to driver training.

04Understand how and where to find information and support regarding running your driver training business.
Following the training day you can request an attendance certificate.
On completion of your in-car and online assignments you will be sent a completion certificate for Unit Thirteen. (You have six months to complete.) The Honest Truth
On completion of all thirteen units of the Diploma for Teaching the Introduction to Driving Education Award you will receive your full qualification certificate — SCQF Level 8 | 17 credit points. (You have two years to complete all thirteen units.)
