Building the Foundations of Continuous Professional Development (CPD)
Overview
In unit twelve, participants will learn the benefits of CPD and how it can positively impact how driver trainers' work. Participants will learn about the importance of staying up to date with industry trends, regulations, best practices and their own self-development and how engaging in these activities enhances their teaching methods. This workshop reflects on the importance of CPD for future challenges such as changing vehicle technology, sustainability and environmental impact.
Who Is It For?
Designed for Potential Driving Instructors undertaking training, or Approved Driving Instructors (ADIs) wishing to refresh and update their knowledge and instructional techniques.
Training Type
Delivered as In-Car Training, this unit blends theory with practical application — allowing participants to understand and integrate road rules and signs into real driving scenarios alongside learner drivers.

What Do You Get?
Attendance Certificate
Following the training day you can request an attendance certificate (this will count towards your 40 hours or 20 hours).
Unit Completion Certificate
Awarded on completing in-car and online assignments. You have six months to complete. click here
Full Qualification Certificate
On completion of all thirteen units of the Introduction to Driving Education Award you will receive your full qualification certificate which is SCQF Level 5 | 25 credit points. (You have two years to complete all thirteen units click here
